Fuel surcharges are pesky little things which can appear as if by magic and increase what you thought you were paying for courier services. Many courier companies add fuel surcharges to their invoice. This is an additional charge on top of whatever the agreed courier rate is. You will be able to see this charge (usually as a percentage) on your invoice. This means that you may end up paying more than you expected and it also makes it more difficult to budget as the initial price is different from the actual price you are charged.

This can be frustrating for customers. So we, the lovely people at Relay Express, decided to take this frustration out of the process and make courier usage as simple as possible. We are fast, reliable and cost effective. We are committed to giving our customers excellent value for money and it is our view that adding fuel charges may not reflect that commitment. So we don’t do it. Instead, we price our services in a highly transparent manner so that you will always know what the jobs you have requested will cost you. The fact that there are no hidden charges with our service is another reason that we are Dublin’s premier on-demand couriers (and we even offer free waiting times of up to 15 minutes but that’s for another article!)
